Thanksgiving Decor

I'm so honored to be featured over at Thrifty Thursday. Thank you so much. I hope all of you will drop by over there and see all the great things offered.

Hello everyone and thanks so much for stopping by. I am soooo ready to decorate for Thanksgiving. Ready for a change Ÿ

First of all I wanted to share a plaque I made that I personalized with my and Terry's names. I found the graphic on the web and just printed it out on sticky back paper and laminated it and stuck it to a 6x6 inch tile I bought at Lowes.

I also decorated a glass block purchased from Lowes. It measures 8x8 inches. Terry drilled a hole in the back about a 1 inch diameter and I placed one of the corded lights bought at Hobby Lobby last year for ½ price. The printable I used was shared over at Blooming Homestead. Be sure and drop in over there and see the beautiful printables she is sharing. I just added some words to make it fill my block and be more personalized.

This is a picture of the block with the light turned on. I really like how it turned out. I will post a picture later on of all the Thanksgiving decorations in place.

This is a closeup picture of the glass block with the hole drilled in it and the light I used. The light has an on/off switch that is handy.

Again, thank you so much for stopping by. Be sure and visit the link parties listed to the right side of my blog and see all the wonderful things others have to share. Soooo many great ideas Ÿ

Hugz, Diane

The plaque is beautiful, but I think my favorite is that glass block. What a great idea!

Morning Diane,
Oh my heavens, you come up with just the cutest ideas on a fraction........
I love that block with the words and the light. I have 2 my son made for me years ago with Christmas light in them and I put bows on them and they look like Christmas packages, so cute, but then the light went out and it is not easy to get the lights out
to replace them. So the idea of the one single bulb is genius. I really want to make one of these, really neat! The lil plaque is adorable too. Would look very nice adorning a table, can't wait to see where you put them both.

Hope you are doing well hon,
Blessings, Nellie

Hi! Hopped over here from Passionately Artistic and I love this idea! Sometimes I feel like Thanksgiving is so overlooked when we hop straight to Christmas, and this is such a wonderful way to remind us the importance of this holiday. Thanks for sharing this project!
